I just got back from the range. I carried my Remington PSS .308. What a treat to be able to shoot a center fire again and to be able to shoot it at 200 yds. I had forgotten what it feels like to shoot a rifle that has some recoil.

Good for you Peary, it's great to be a complete club again.

Very good Peary.
I had a neat range session with both of my Savage 99 rifles. One is chambered for .250- 3000 Savage and the other fires the .300 Savage round. I zeroed the .300 Savage with my old Weaver K 2.5 scope. It is fine combo, but I don't know what I will do with it. I have not hunted deer in over a decade and probably never will again. But, you never know. The .250 has aperture sights.

I have had so many split cases in .45 ACP when loading salvaged cases from the fire, I decided not to push my luck with the .308s in melted MTM boxes. So I bought some fresh Lapua. Very pretty, $$$. It will be good to get my FTR back in action, although I don't know if I will resume matches.

I agree with all of yall, it is great to be firing 308 win again. My thanks to Tom Jones for helping me sight in my DPMS Panther LR 308 at his farm previous to me going to the new range. I use a Vortex SPARC red dot scope which at a 100 yards fills the black center point on a 100 yd NRA Military large rifle target. In less than 30 seconds 20 rounds are grouped the diameter of the black center hole, just left and down of the black. I am planning on shooting this combination on the 200 yard range now that I finally invested in a good spotting scope. I'm way to old too old to see that far anymore and sure could not handle the walking back and forth at 200 yards to check out the impact holes. Thanks again to all who were involved in putting this range together.
