I can think of 598 reasons this was a special day at the Sheffield range. Our fearless leader put on a shooting clinic, posting a score of 598-28x! Way to go Dwight!
Ulus made it out this morning. It was good to see you back on the CMP firing line sir. Too bad about that dropped shot on your first string, though it didn't appear to affect your spirits any.
Andrew brought his Ultra Lux, but had troubles with a chambered round getting in his way in rapid fire prone, and suffered what would be best described as a "Phantom Squib" shortly after. He graciously offered to call strings after deciding to withdraw from the match. Thanks Andrew, better luck in March.
Bill and David M. shot borderline scores this month, needing only a single point to advance to the next level. A "Fall from grace" as I overheard David saying, as each shooter was just a month removed from shooting their personal best CMP scores. Still fine scores by any definition.
David H., Mike, and I each shot O-class today. It was a perfect day for it too, bluebird skies and hardly a breath of wind. Dare I say I was getting a little warm near the end?!? Sorry about your malfunctions Mike, those dropped shots prevented you from keeping your medal streak alive. Why do they only happen in rapid fire strings???
Adrian M. came out to shoot his 10/22 in a second string along with Dwight, who decided to give his new Tactical class rifle a go.
There were a couple of scores shot Friday as well. I will update this post to reflect those scores as soon as I receive them. (Edited Feb. 24, 10:32AM)
