the fact that the newsletter calling for the work session did not reach at least some of our members until the day of the work session (Saturday the 19th at 8:30) . James Day said he got his Thursday. Maybe it takes two days longer for mail from Florence to reach Florence than Colbert County. . A couple of the gents that came to the work session received word via the new E-mailed letter and one saw it on the website. We only had nine members show up today and one of those was a non-working member that was looking for a reason to dodge honey-dos. James Day rented a portable welding machine and we got the new rifle racks up as well as mending the pistol racks. He also, brought his tractor and landscaping box. So, between the tractor, two wheel barrows, five rakes, three shovels, and nine hard workers, we got the new flats on the rifle side in much better shape. A special thanks to Hal Howard who gave an especial amount of attention to the rifle range berm. Hal and I finally pulled out at 1:30 and that berm is the cleanest I have ever seen it. If anybody has any complaints now, then they better be willing to put their time and energy in at the range - working or non. Or, better yet by running for an officer or director slot in the upcoming club elections. Kind of surprised that only James, Larry, and Paul showed up out of all of my administration. But, it was short notice (or no notice - ouch) and I was told there was a B'ham gunshow as well. Anyway, the range looks great. Go check it out. And, remember to leave it the way you found it or BETTER!
