D.,
Do we have anything from Jack B. about the usual three or four Highpower shoots for next year?

I will tell Jack about the website tomorrow night at the big meeting and get him to post the dates on here when he has them nailed down.

This has been added to our calender. If you have an event and you need it added to our calender just PM me or email me at fmjbt@bellsouth.net. I can add an event to the calender up to a year away and when that month arrives it will show up at the bottom of the home page. After the date goes by the event will disappear automatically ....... Kinda like Magic ;D
This Website is a very powerful tool to help our club.

More than likely Jack will run a 60 round course of fire.
100 yards. 3 positions.
10 sighters.
10 slow offhand.
10 standing to sitting rapid fire (with a mandatory reload).
10 standing to prone rapid fire (with a mandatory reload).
20 prone slowfire.

Thanks Danny. It sounds more like sporting rifles than hunting rifles.

Yes Tommy, the only Highpower rifle shooting that we have ever formally conducted at the range is the Civilian Marksmanship Program military style matches. These have been conducted by a guest club of ours, the North Alabama Sportsman Association. These matches are overseen by Jack Belew and David McCallister.
Most of our members have only been interested in shooting the matches once or twice to simply qualify them for the purchase of an M1 Garand from the government via the CMP.
If you would like some nice rimfire practice that carries over to your hunting rifles, then you should partake in either the new 50/50Sporter Match (metallic silhouettes - 1st Saturdays) or the CMP Sporter Match (paper targets with bullseyes - 4th Saturdays).
I think I recall that you came and shot the CMP Sporter match with your Henry rimfire once.
