CMP Rimfire Sporter Match results from North Alabama, August 27, 2011.
It was a typical late summer day in Alabama, 98 degrees and 85% humidity. We had a clear blue cloudless sky and bone dry environment to shoot in today. This should be our last "Death Valley" match of this year, we hope things are a bit cooler by this time in September. A small turnout today, but given the weather about what you would expect. We all had a good time and as usual there was great comradery among our shooting group. We had two new first time CMP Rimfire Shooters today Bill Parkhurst and David Malone . Both did great and we hope to see them as regulars in the future. A big congratulations to David who shot a Silver Medal on his first match.

Bill has some problems in two stages, I'm sure he will get that sorted out. He was doing some fine shooting, Andrew missed silver by 1 point (ouch), he was our only open sight shooter today. We look forward to seeing everyone next month and hope the crowd will be larger. Remember you do not have to be a member of the North Alabama Shooting Association to participate in our weekly matches.
