CMP Sporter Results
It was a fine a day as anyone could wish for to be shooting today. Temperatures in the low 70's and blue fall skies. Low humidity and just a bit breezy at times. Our shooters showed their usual great sportsmanship and willingness to help each other in this difficult discipline to shoot in. A big congratulations to John Butler shot a personal best today. I want to acknowledge two up and coming shooters who show real potential to be "Big Dogs" in this. David and Thomas both got within a handful of points of Gold today. Bill has made his goal (his own words) by shooting into the 500's and shows real potential for this game as well. I will make a shameless plug that my Grandson Zach shot with us today and did well, he showed his true nature when we were scoring targets and we thought we had found a double on his rapid fire and he promptly said I did not get that shot off and took the zero....many shooters would have been silent. I do think he took years off the life of my 10-22 later with his rapid fire shooting of the steel targets.....hey watching a young man with a big grin on his face was worth it. Thomas had a cross shoot and chose to not finish. Next time we will help him with target marking to help eliminate this. For any perspective new shooters don't take this game too seriously, it should be fun and learning is a major part of participating gin this discipline. Now the results;
