CMP Rimfire Sporter Match
Nationally Sanctioned Match Results April 28 , 2012
We arrived to a beautiful partly cloudy spring morning. Almost no wind and pleasant temperatures. Thankfully our State Bird the Mosquito was absent today. We had a great crowd in good spirits and ready to burn powder and put lead down range. A very big Thank You to Danny today who chose to forgo shooting and call both strings, this made things go silk smooth. We were in prep time by 8:20 and slighter shots were down range by 8:30. We had some great scores posted today, our great friend Don More (Magical) shot double gold and winning the open sight category with a score most would have loved to have fired with a scoped rifle. Big congratulations to Bill Parkhurst for shooting bronze today for the first time, way to go Bill. Also David Malone shot gold today in our first sanctioned match of the year, David has made great strides in the last year shooting CMP Sporter. So enough talking, the scores today;

Special thumbs up to John "Waffle" Warffeli who gained 15 points from last match, just a few more to reach medal level. Also Barry who had never had a sling on in his life and was recovering from major back surgery, he came out and just missed medaling by a few points. Next month I suspect higher scores and more shooters. Special thanks to all who volunteered and helped make this a smooth match and we got out in time for a great lunch.
Sincerely
