The officer's and director's met at the range today at noon (Sunday, September 16th). Peary Willard, Jim Watson, and myself will be calling all of the escrow payees and asking them if they will agree to leave their payments in the escrow throughout an extended collection period ending Monday, December 3, 2012. The results of the calling campaign will be posted in a new September newsletter on Wednesday, September 19th.
Club members can continue to purchase $1,000 life memberships and $500/$100 annual memberships until Monday, December 3, 2012.
The Life Memberships ($1,000) will be limited to 100 members. There will be no cap on the $500/$100 annual memberships at this time.

$62,000 is in the range acquisition escrow as of 5 PM on Sept. 19th. That $100,000.00 goal does not seem as daunting now does it.
Hey folks, you want a wake up call? The popular Ruger 10/22 gunsmith in Huntsville, Que, joined our club last spring after hearing of our range issue. Pretty much just did it to support the club. There is no way he could use the range on any kind of regular basis with the nature of his growing business.
If that doesn't impress you much, then you need to know that he was the 42nd member to purchase a life membership a couple of weeks ago.
Several members have purchased life memberships and they are in their 70s. Two of them were the first ones to tell me that the life membership should not be transferable.
These folks are not thinking about "what's in it for me". They just want to insure that a shooting club survives in the Shoals.

It is happening !!!We are coming together and we are going to pull this off. Bigger and better than before. I may even go out and get a 10/22 just for the priviledge of giving Que some buisness.
