First Handgun Harvested Whitetail!!

Was actually setup waiting on a doe. 15-18 yards this 205# 3 1/2 year old buck steps out onto the field and looks around and proceeds to eat up some clover. I squared up with my 1911 equiped with a .460 Rowland conversion kit (www.clarkcustomguns.com) 185gr Nolser JHP doing 1550 fps. Dropped it like a sack of bricks (was a bit worried about it blowing up on his shoulder so I decided at last minute to do a neckshot. I had afterall been expecting a 90-100 pound doe) There was a 7 mag sitting there as backup but I didn't feel I had time to switch at that point. He was RIGHT in my shooting lane nearly perfect broadside. He was missing a G1 and G2 on one side or he'd have been an 8 pt (15" spread)

Venison...it's what's for dinner!
