Rex Medlin shot in his first Raptor Match today and took first place. He is a fine shooter. Congrats Rex. Three other first time Raptor Match competitors came today as well - Lana Horton, Mike, and Bob Jones. It was great to see the fresh faces. Mike proved that even a good open sight shooter is hard pressed to hit the little chickens from 81 yards.
In shoot off action, Rex, John, Keith, and Ulus had a 1st place smack down. And, Lana and I battled it out down in the middle of the pack.
An even dozen showed up on a beautiful Winter's day. The temps were in the 60s under clear skies but frequent gusty winds were a factor.
A consensus of shooters seemed to indicate that they would prefer to drop the various classes such as Grand Master, Master, Expert, etc. and simply post the scores from first to last place as in our other two rimfire silhouette matches. This will be a permanent change.
Place, shooter, rifle, scope, ammunition, rest or b-pod, string one score, string two score, string three score, total regular score, and then tie breaker scores if applicable.
