CMP Rimfire Sporter Match
Nationally Sanctioned Match Results September 22 , 2012
It was a gorgeous early fall morning in Alabama for our sanctioned Rimfire Sporter match. The morning was perfect with temps around 60 deg and almost no humidity. We had a good turnout and got right to business.

A few foot notes, I went back to my trusty 10-22 I have shot in so many matches and my score showed it is the gun for this event. I think Don shot the highest X count ever fired in a sanctioned match. David Malone shot his personnel best easily inside gold status..big congratulations there. This game is really much more difficult than it looks on the outside, one has to fire 60 shots at better than 93% perfect to even medal in the telescopic category. This is so much more difficult than it seems on the outside looking in, David Hollimon had the best match of his life going and dropped a shot in sitting rapid and still made silver...no easy task. So for that I say our top two riflemen of the day had to be don More with his 595-43X and David Hollimon with his 575-24X with a dropped shot. See everyone next month for a even cooler match in the best weather of the year for burning powder.
