Nationally Sanctioned CMP Rimfire Sporter Match this Saturday
North Alabama Shooting Association will be hosting it's last sanctioned CMP Rimfire Sporter match at the Sheffield property this Saturday April 27. The match will consist of 60 fired shots for score from Prone, sitting , and offhand . All equipment must meet CMP guidelines for compliance, Rifles must be 7.5 pounds or less and trigger pulls must be able to lift a NRA certified weight of 3 pounds. Maximum telescopic magnification is 6X. No thumb-hole stocks, there will be three categories for rifles, Open Sight, Telescopic, and Tactical for AR platform rifles. All rifles must be 22LR, firing distances will be 50 yards and 25 yards for the offhand portion. You can shoot this match with one magazine easily. There will be no charge for this match and we will award pins for Gold, Silver , and Bronze pins for shooters who score in these divisions. This is a great father and son or daughter event. The match will be very controlled as always. NASA will provide official targets at no charge, this match will only cost you the ammo you shoot in the match (usually 100 rounds of 22LR or less). Gate will open at 8:00 and shooting will begin at 9:00 we are usually done by lunch. Come and join us for a match that will test your rifleman skills and have a great time.
