Excellent shooting Dwight, Morgan, and Jay.
Thanks for scoring Tony and Anedra.
Thanks for running relay #1 Dwight and relay #2 John. And, also thanks to all the combination SO/target runners that made the match run smoothly.
I do think that we would have run faster and gathered more useful information with the old paper scoring. How about the rest of you?

I agree Danny , the match was a model of effencieny yesterday. We had a lot of shooters and got it all done. I cannot say that the new procedure was the reason I shot my best score ever but I know it helped me being able to focus on shooting only during the match.

I cannot say that the new procedure was the reason I shot my best score ever but I know it helped me being able to focus on shooting only during the match. Dwight Dwight, my quandry was mainly in reference to the computer scoring. Tony had a comment very similar to yours on this same point on RFS. Here is my follow-up post cut and pasted below: I should have been more clear. I think the independent scoring is a must from now on and the use of runners had its pluses. But, I think the computer just slowed things down. Anedra still had to recopy the results for the score board at the range and I had to retype the results for on line reporting to make them appear in a form that the reader could easily understand. I kind of miss seeing my shots up close and changing my targets. I favor still doing that and then handing my unscored target to a collective runner that would take them back to a scoring station. If we continue with the runner/target changer format, then I am going to make full and complete match attendance mandatory. If you want to shoot in the first relay, then you will work the second or be deequed. If you want to shoot in the second relay, then you will work in the first relay or not be allowed to shoot in the second. Heck, we don't even charge anything for these matches. If you can't show up at the start and stay till everything is put up and packed away, then maybe your score should be purged. More comments are encouraged and will be collected. I will announce a revised format the week before next months CMP Sporter Match.

I also like to see my targets as I shoot, and since only had two shooters on the rimfire range I was able to show them their targets prior to handing them in. I'm not sure I wouldn't rather pull my own, though. It does help to see them to make adjustments if necessary. On the other hand, it sure is nice having someone else go get them for you...Guess I'm not sure which way I like better.
