I'm really looking forward to shooting CMP with my old friends Saturday. I hope there is a big crowd!

Match Director, David Malone wrote the following match report for the June 27th CMP Sporter Match:
CMP has made it's return to NASA. All n all it was a pretty good day for shooting. It wasn't too hot and the wind wasn't whipping like normal. It sprinkled on us just a little bit. It was a Ruger show case as Don was the only shooter not shooting a 10/22. Scores were strong. I think I might have been the only one that was "rusty". T-class 1. Don Moore, Izhmash 7-2, Leupold, SK standard +, 596 44x 2. Dwight Pilkilton Ruger 10/22, Weaver V-16, CCI SV, 596 29x 3. Randy King Ruger 10/22, Nikon, Wolf MT, 588 24x 4. David Malone Ruger 10/22, Leupold VXII 4-12, CCI SV, 575 16x 5. Andrew Butler Ruger 10/22, Bushnell, CCI SV, 567 11x 6. Lana Medlin Ruger 10/22, Weaver 4.5-14, Wolf ME, 558 20x Open Class 1. Don Moore CZ 452 UL, SK Standard +, 590 27x 2. Randy King Ruger 10/22, Wolf MT 581 21x Amazing open sight scores! Everyone medaled today. It was good seeing Don and Lana. We all joked with Lana about her leaving Rex at home.

Dwight just walks out and shoots a 596 like nothing! To the best of my knowledge, he hasn't shot a CMP match in awhile. Wow that's crazy. I had the pleasure of scoring Don's 596, and you should have seen the groups he shot! His prone targets were one big hole dead center with two or three little holes around it. 44 X's! Everybody shot great, but the two 596's and Don's open sighted 590 were outstanding. Thanks David for putting the match together, very good job.
