Dear Friends,
It was cool (68 to 74 F), cloudy, drizzly and calm this morning. Several of NASA's best shooters were there for this sanctioned match. David Malone had everything setup by 8:30 AM and we started about 9:00 AM and finished at 11:00. In the Scope Class Dwight was lights-out and Andrew shot his first Gold; David shot Silver; and, Krista shot just out of the Bronze followed by John and Bill winning the doughnuts. Our best shooters beginning to round into form for the upcoming Talladega 600 in November.
In Open Class Danny had a a very un-Danny-like score when he was discombobulated by major extraction problems in his CZ Ultra Lux/Norma Match combination.
The slow/rapid (prone, sitting/kneeling and offhand) scores were as follow:
Scope (T) Class
Dwight Pilkilton - 597-36X - Gold - 100-9, 100-10, 100-3, 98-3, 99-3, 100-8 - Ruger 10/22, CCI Standard Velocity
Andrew Butler - 584-21X - Gold - 99-5, 99-2, 93-1, 97-3, 98-7, 98-2 - Ruger 10/22

This is the last CMP Match at NASA this year. Stay tuned for possible 4th-Saturday fun matches on the day after Black Friday and the day after Christmas. Next week's rimfire match on October 31, 2015 will be a 185-yard Raptor Match! Should be great fun!
