Dear Friends, Well, the weather was warm, cloudy & muggy at the NASA Crooked Oak Range this morning but just fine for the first CMP Rimfire Sporter Match of 2017. Unfortunately, with this being Memorial Day Weekend, there were just three of us participating. We did have a good time though and David Malone did very well and qualified for a CMP Silver Medal. The medal award categories are getting ever more challenging. Scoped (T) Class 1st 555-16X David Hollimon - CZ 452 American, Nikon 3-9x40 Rimfire, Aguila SV 100-7X, 95-3X, 95-1X, 89-2X, 91-2x, 85-1x 2nd 543-8X Bill Parkhurst - Ruger 10/22, Clearidge Ultra Rimfire 3-9x32mm, Norma TAC-22 99-3X, 93-2X, 92-1X, 88-0X, 90-2X, 81-0X Tactical Class 1. 583-26X ( Silver) David Malone - Ruger SR-22, Leupold 3-9x33mm EFR, CCI SV 100-8X, 99-7X, 100-5X, 88-0X, 97-3X, 99-3X Next Saturday (June 3rd) will be our regular monthly 50/25 Rimfire Silhouette Match where we attempt to pick-off steel Rams, Turkeys, Pigs, Little Chicken and one lonesome Prairie Dog at 50-yards.
