Hello All,
It was a hot and humid day, but we had a good time at the range. Best score of the day was a 9/6 in scope class by Andrew, Danny, and myself. After the official match we added something new that was fun and does not take long. See below for details.
Open Class:
1st: 13/6 Phillip Beck, CZ 457 Jaguar, Eley Club
2nd: 16/6 Danny Creasy, CZ 452 Ultra Lux, CCI SV
3rd: 17/6 Andrew Butler, CZ 452 Ultra Lux, CCI SV
4th: 20/7 Morgan Beck, CZ 457 Lux, Eley Club
Scope Class:
1st: 9/6 Danny Creasy, CZ 452 Trainer, Weaver RV-7, CCI-SV
T: 9/6 Andrew Butler, CZ 455 American, Leupold UX 3-9x, CCI SV
T: 9/6 Phillip Beck, CZ 457 American, Leupold 2-7x, Eley Club
4th: 12/7 Chicago Mike, Savage MKII, Simmons 3x5x, Federal AutoMatch
5th: 13/7 Morgan Beck, CZ 457 American, Leupold 2-7x, Eley Club
6th: 15/6 Amanda Beck, CZ 457 American, Leupold 2-7x, Eley Club
50/25 Rimfire Rifle Wagnon Mountain Team Challenge (NEW):
Rules subject to change, but today we drew names to establish two, 2 person teams, with each team firing simultaneously on their own rack, located at the same distance, and with the critters as the 50/25 match. Unlimited ammo, unlimited time, scope or open sights (your choice), same gun action as other competitors, each person limited to a total of 20 rounds stored in a magazine(s) at the firing line. Teams shoot all Rams, Turkeys, Pigs, and Chickens, leaving the Prairie Dog for the last target (hearing the distinctive sound means the match is over). First team to drop all targets and Prairie Dog wins.
Today's match: Bolt Action
Team 1 and Winners: Danny Creasy/Morgan Beck
Team 2: Andrew Butler/Phillip Beck (was still working on the chickens when we heard Danny take out the Prairie Dog)
See everyone next month,
Phillip
