Dear Friends,
Although there weren't many of our rapidly-aging rimfire devotees who turned out to shoot this morning, the 5 of us that did come had a wonderful time in near-ideal shooting conditions. We greatly missed the always enjoyable and entertaining Beck Family and Danny Creasy. It was a little cool and damp, to be sure, but it was nice and dry under the canopy and the overcast skies made the white silhouette targets stand out and the dead calm allowed for great shooting conditions. In other words, there was no excuse - other than our general lack of skill - for missing the rams, turkeys, pigs, little chickens and prairie dogs. The round(s) of the day - two 8/6 - were both shot by Tom Reburn in the scope/optic and peep sight classes. Just before the peep sight match Bill suggested that Tom blow out his rear sighting aperture as there appeared to be dirt or spider webs in it. This done, Tom shot the lights out!

The following 3rd Saturday (March 16th) we'll be shooting our rimfire benchrest matches by taking on the USBR Green Monster (scope-sights) and the NRA 23/5 (aperture sights). Be there or be square!
