Dear Friends,
The weather forecasters nailed the weather on Wagnon Mountain this morning! Four happy participants showed up and shot 10 rounds.
The Marksman of the Day was Chicago Mike who shot an outstanding 5/5 leaving just 5 little chickens standing! The Anti-Marksman of the day was yours truly who really had a bad day in all three classes. That takes hours of training and focus, I tell you. The day wasn't a total loss as I stayed after and re-sighted all of my pistols - each of them were way off. Wait until next time, you steel silhouettes, you!
Revolver Class
9/6 Andrew Butler, Smith & Wesson K-22, Fed Automatch 13/4 Tom Reburn, Smith & Wesson 617, CCI MiniMags 13/7 Chicago Mike, Heritage Rough Rider, Fed White Box 22/7 Bill Parkhurst, Ruger Single-Six, CCI SV
Pistol Class
13/6 Andrew Butler, Browning Buckmark, Fed AutoMatch 14/6 Tom Reburn, Ruger 22/45, CCI MiniMag 18/7 Bill Parkhurst, High Standard 107, CCI SV
Scope/Optic Class
5/5 Chicago Mike, Ruger 22/45, Browning RedDot, Fed White Box 9/6 Tom Reburn, Ruger 22/45, Vortex RedDot, Rem Golden Bullets 18/7 Bill Parkhurst, Smith & Wesson 41, Vortex RedDot, CCI SV
"Lord willin' and the Creek don't rise" we'll be shooting Rimfire Benchrest Matches next Saturday (3/16/24) at 9AM. Lots of fun! Bring your favorite scoped or apertured rifle for this 50-yard accuracy test.
Cheers, Bill
