Don't forget to start practicing a little for the Raptor Match. We will start setting up at 7:30 AM for this 5th Saturday event. It only comes around about four times a year so don't miss it.

I took my 2nd CZ American to the range this afternoon. It has pretty much become my dedicated raptor rifle. It now sports the old Japanese Tasco fixed 36 power scope that I picked up in Savannah, GA a few months ago. It only took a single ten shot magazine to get it zeroed at 93 yards (don't ask - its just what works for us on our 100 highpower range for this match). I used the second ten shot mag to practice on two and one inch steel spinners driven in the ground at the same range. I hit the two inch steel disk four times and the one inch disk three times out of the ten rounds. There is some give and take with the 36 power scope. The targets were supper clear and the little dot reticle danced nicely inside the little spinners. But, what I gained in precision, I may have lost in target acquisition. David's color coded pipes will help (hopefully). Heads up my fellow NASA, Inc. shooters. There is a string of fire ant beds running right across the area where we usually station the Raptor target stands (pipes). Watch your step and don't lolly gag down there. Danny

I have some fire ant colony killer that has really worked good here in my pasture. I will put some on these and see if it works. It usually kills them in 12 hours. I used it at the plant on some really BIG mounds and it worked there, too.
