I have to work again on the 13th. I left a large supply of both 25/25 and RFRF score sheets in the officer shed. An 8:30 set up time has been on the NASA calendar for a while. I am sure shooters will be there at that time or thereabouts.
Some talk was made of an afternoon match as well. I just can't wrap my arms around this issue.
Reece suggested one month in the afternoon and the next month in the morning but that seems very complicated and folks will start showing up at the wrong times and get frustrated.
Jon and Tony want to shoot an afternoon match as well as a morning but it would simply not be right to dominate the range for entire Saturdays twice a month.

Tony has informed me that he has already told several people that we would have an afternoon match option. So, we will try both after all.
Set ups will start at 8:30 AM. RFRF match will start following completion of the pistol match.
Both will be repeated again at 1:00 PM in the afternoon as a courtesy to folks with morning conflicts.
David H said he will try to ramrod the morning match if he is not called to work. Otherwise, I will find someone to get the officer shed open for the morning shooters and they can set up and run their match and leave the score sheets for me to combine with the afternoon scores. I will run the afternoon match.
YOU CANNOT SHOOT IN BOTH THE MORNING AND AFTERNNOON SESSIONS. PICK ONE OR THE OTHER. I AM NOT HAVING SOMEONE SHOOT BOTH AND THEN CHERRY PICK HIS OR HER KEEPER SCORES.

By the way, morning shooters - don't forget the action style handicaps for the RFRF. They are:
Bolt Action = -36 Straight Pull Bolt Action = -30 Lever Action = -24 Pump Action = -18
I am raising the good shooting reward from -2 to -3 per string to encourage aimed fire as opposed to hosing.

If David can't make it, I will be there to help run it and open the officer's shed

Thanks James. I have left clip board, score sheets, and stop watch in the shed. If you guys finish as early as 10 to 11 and none of the second session shooters are there yet, just leave the racks up. It may be best to lock the critters back up though.
Now, if the weather forecast for "a few showers" will just change a little, it should be a great day of short gun shooting.
