2010 Deep South Classic Medal Results
Telescopic Sight “T” Class
Danny Creasy - Gold Dwight Pilkilton - Gold Richard Enlow - Silver Jay Holman - Silver Ricky King - Silver David Holliman - Bronze
Open Sight “O” Class
Andrew Butler - Silver
Ulus Farris shot and Lana Horton shot both classes, not sure on any of the scores but they are coming on strong, I have the medal winners for the Newspaper article coming out this Sat. in the out doors section. I was there however and though a smaller than expected turnout with graduation and vacations going on it was still a great match, I did not shoot I was there to help Willie and the gang get everyone registered but we all kinda took a leisurely pace giving others a chance to show up and then they were off. We wrapped everything up Dwight handed out the Medals and we were gone by noon, I think we need to have another one in the fall and if we do I will shoot in it if it is not next to a big USBR Event so I can practice. See you Sat for the Raptor, I hope I can knock the dust off the old Bipod and shoot some long distance prone, my favorite match next to USBR. I hope we have a few Grand Masters this Month and we're two of them. Nothing like a good old fashioned Shoot Off, that is the best part it feels like watching a horse race when it gets down to two shooters that are on their game. See you then, Keep it in the 10. "T"

From Dwight Pilkilton:
Deep SouthClassic
SanctionedCMP Sporter Match
May 22,2010
Match conditions were hot and very humid. The Alabama statebird was out today, in other words the mosquitoes were as bad as I have ever witnessed. No amount of Deet solved the problem completely, I had mosquitoes lighting on my eye lid when shooting prone. The wind was not a problem as there was very little perceptible wind to speak of, spirits were good but the turnout for our sanctioned match was light. I would like to congratulate our two category winners, Mr. Danny Creasy and Andrew Butler, for being at the top of their divisions. Here are the match results;
Open Sights
Andrew Butler – CZ 452 Ultra Lux
93-2, 83-0, 95-2, 88-0, 97-4, 95-3 = 551-11X – SILVER – Classwinner
Lana Horton – Marlin Model 60
59-0, 66-0, 83-0, 79-0, 91-1, 88-2 = 466-3X
Telescopic Sights
Danny Creasy – CZ American
100-7, 99-4, 99-4, 94-1, 98-6, 98-3 = 588-25X – GOLD – Class Winner

99-3, 98-3, 97-2, 93-1, 88-3, 99-7 = 574-19X

99-8, 98-4, 91-1, 87-2, 98-4, 98-1 = 571-20X
David Hollimon – CZ 452 Silhouette
97-5, 82-2, 97-3, 93-2, 100-3, 93-1 = 562-16X
Ulus Farris – Remington 597
88-0, 89-1, 80-0, 84-1, 93-1, 89-1 = 523-4X
Lana Horton – Savage MKII
89-2, 61-1, 94-2, 55-0, 72-0, 88-0 = 459-5X
Thanks to all who came helped and supported our club effort to hold this match. Especial thanks to Monty Shelton for scoring and
Colby and Evan Dow who shagged targets and helped in any way they could. Also to our other Match Directors like Tony and Danny...and not to leave out Anedra or Willie. It takes a real team effort to put a match on like this and it went smooth.
See you all soon
Dwight
