CMP Rimfire Sporter Match held at the North Alabama Shooting Association. A very hot day with temperatures at 80 degrees by 7am, with almost no wind and moderate humidity. The Temperatures reached 90 degrees plus by the end of the match. In spite of the heat, we had a great time and a good turnout. Our new competitor John Savage shot well and enjoyed the match. Lana and Ulus shot their highest scores to date and are continuing to improve. The Open sight division was a sibling rivalry between the Battling Butler Boys (BBB) who were very civil when it came to lunch after the match.
No major equipment malfunctions today, except for Dwight falling out of the target shed after turning his ankle.
We have one more “Death-Valley” match in August, hopefully cooler weather will prevail.
