Nice turnout for a Holiday. Beautiful weather. A couple of gusts of wind here and there but mostly quite calm. Very bright.
The Sheffield USBR management team takes care of some paperwork huddled around Tony's and Anedra's Savage Mk II. Tony had to make some quick changes to get this rifle CMP street legal. Tony I really appreciate the effort it took to heavy up that trigger and swap out scopes.
Paul shoots his CZ American (Tribal Stock variant) with a bi-pod in this BR game:
Willie brought his "ole rusty" 10-22 out and still broke 200!
Here is today's T-Class victor, a CZ 452 Silhouette, fired by David Hollimon:
My well traveled CZ American:
Ulus shot his Remington 597 next to me. He was concerned about the brass hitting me. Ulus, that was nothing compared to the big brass that would rain on me back when I shot highpower.
Our intrepid friend, Peary Willard, brought his fine old Remington 581L. Anedra had to count up 10s to rank Peary's target and mine.
Barry shot T-Class second with his nice Anschutz sporter. Just a hair behind his friend Dave.
Barry and Ulus shot these two cool old .22s in the open sight class. A Savage 23AA and Winchester 67 top to bottom respectively. I didn't get a pic of Willie's purty Remington 513-T (the only A Class entrant).
My CZ 452 UltraLux took first place in O Class but the fact that the barrel traveled half way to the 50 foot target did not hurt any.
Before we packed up, Tony wanted to see how a real USBR race gun would do at 25 yards.
He and Anedra both shot 250s with it. Tony's X count was 14-X and Anedra's was 12-X. Great shootin you two! Tony's target.
As a fun side match, we asked anyone so inclined to fire a five shot group at the USBR emblem for ctc measurement. Here are those results:
Open Sight Class (Ulus and I forgot)
Barry shot .458" - well done Barry
Telescopic Sight Class
Tony Gilmore shot an awesome .099"
Barry Holmes put five shots in .189"
Danny Creasy = .225"
Willie Rhodes, that old Ruger 10-22 is a keeper dude, you posted a .309"
Peary Willard fired a .366" group.
Paul Enlow had a .506" group (four in one hole and a durn flyer)
Ulus Farris = 1.405"
Anedra, you had ten shots around the shield. Ineligible for measuring.
