Hey Guys and Gals, I am coming home this weekend and was hoping to try Danny's long distance dog shoot. But I see the range will be closed for new members. Was wondering if there would be another shoot on Sunday maybe, like the last 25/50 when it rained? Or maybe a Friday evening speed shoot at 50 yards for fun??? I could set up at whatever time, and we could start when we had 4 folks show up??? Just spit balling, hoping to shoot something this weekend.

Sorry Randy about missing your message. I got in late on Friday evening and then all of Saturday was tied up with the new member induction. Due to the weather, we actually had to handle all the safety briefings at the recreation center.
I have checked out the forecast for tomorrow (Sunday) several times and it looks like it will be 60 and cloudy in the afternoon. I hope to be there around 11:00 and set up some 50/25 racks for practice. If enough shooters show up, we could even shoot for score and roll them into next weekend's results since some of us will probably be having to work next Saturday.
Let me know if anyone can make it tomorrow.

Danny, Susan and I will be there around 12:30pm. We need to resight her rifle for 50 and try some different ammo for benchrest groups but we can shoot a rack as well. Thanks, Steve Stone

Only four shooters for the Mini-Match but a good time was had and we all appreciated some laid back practice time.
Results:
Place, score (silos left standing by P Dogs hit), shooter, rifle, scope (if applicable), and ammunition.
Telescopically Sighted Class
1st 3X1, Danny Creasy, CZ 452 American, Swift 6-18X44, CMP Aguila White Box
2nd 12X1, Susan Stone, Magnum Research 1722, Barska 10-40X50, Aguila Std Vel
2nd 12X1, David Hollimon, CZ Silhouette, Vortex 4-12, CMP White Box
Open Sighted Class
1st 8X1, Danny Creasy, CZ 452 Special, CMP White Box
;D David and I made our animals do tricks. I spun two chickens with marginal hits on their beaks and they simply turned pirouettes and remained standing. David made the two far right pigs stand on their noses like they were in a circus act. It was pretty funny looking at the end with his two pigs standing with their rumps up in the air and my two far left chickens quartering away like scattered barn fowl.
Susan shot very well with her neat little 1022 clone. She and Steve urged me to try it. So, I ran a magazine through the sub five pound rifle and picked off a few remaining critters.

Hey Danny, I wish I would have checked the board in time to shoot on Sunday. Although it looks like it would have been a practice round for me. Nice Shooting.
On another subject, did anybody watch "Top Shot" tonight. Their main weapon was the Ruger 1022. I will put up the NASA club against all those champion shooters ANYDAY!!! LOL Till next time Good Shooting.

I couldn't agree more, I know there was pressure but our gang would have given those guys a hard time in that match.
