Actually a triple header with the USBR National Championship being held on the rimfire range. Kind of a light turnout but not surprising with the off schedule timing. A couple of the out of town USBR participants even came over and gave these local silhouette matches a try (enjoyed you and your family's company today LP).
Thomas and I kinda had a CZ 455 vs CZ 452 smackdown today. I love this kind of tight competition . While two first time shooters, Robert and Grayson, had a tiebreaker for 3rd and 4th. LP wanted to try the Raptor but just couldn't get his rig to cooperate from prone.
Raptor Match
1st Danny Creasy, CZ 452 American, Swift 6-18X44, SK Std Plus, Bi-Pod, 0, 0, 0, 0, 1
2nd Thomas A. Reed, CZ 455 American, BSA 6-24, CCI, Bi-Pod, 0, 0, 0, 0, 2
3rd Robert Patterson, Winchester Wildcat Heavy Barrel, Nikon 3-9, CCI MiniMag, 5, 3, 2, 10, 2
4th Grayson Campbell, CZ 455, BSA 6-24, CCI, Bi-Pod, 3, 4, 3, 10, 4
The 50/25 shooters were thrown off of their best games today with the unusual wide open (and slanted) shooting setup. But, it was the best we could do today with all the events going on at once.
The open sight shooters seemed to loose their sight pictures on the top two rows of critters due to the dark foliage in the background. But, we can't say that it wasn't the same for everyone. 13/6 X 3 ;D .
David E. Parton (aka DD) from Texas could have lead the pack with a couple of more hits. Way to go dude. First time 50/25 shooters, Thomas and Robert, both stated that they need some more practice but I think they are hooked.

I really enjoyed the day. Tony, Barry, and Anedra, thanks for the BarBQ. You had a great match. I enjoyed catching a little of the action and the awards ceremony. Congrats to all of the USBR placers and Bart, I am really excited to see you walking in the winners' circle. And, I wondered how long it would take the stealthy Steve Van Kauwenbergh to emerge as a match shooter - way to go Van.
