A few showers didn't dampen the enthusiasm of our NASA, Inc. shooters this morning in Sheffield. Over a dozen shooters shot three events for both individual scores and an overall title. The temperature was in the 70s and that was quite a treat for us southern men.
I described the match in a thread earlier this week. Here is a link:

Some guys had arrived without having the benefit of reading about the changes for today. Several only had an un-scoped handgun and then a scoped rifle. It was decided to let them apply either their open sighted pistol or open sighted revolver score in the scoped class standings for the overall Three Speed Steel Match.
Here are the results:

Hey ya'll, 16 year old Jordan Davis is a force to be reckoned with. It is a joy to watch this young man shoot.
Randy King is the first to ever clean the Rapidfire Rimfire rack in its present form (4 strings of 6) with no misses (24 for 24). Dwight and I cleaned it a few times back in the 90s when the match was in its original form (6 strings of 4). And, James Day posted overall times in the low teens back then. But, I think that Dwight and James would agree with me that this latest version is the tougher format. Congrats to both Randy and Jordan on some awesome rifle shooting.
I posted both of these gent's RFRF string scores for the reader to better appreciate their shooting. The "-3" entries indicate the good shooting reward for knocking down a row of six with six shots.
